Welfare and Conservation

At Kezie we believe that while our range of premium exotic leather and feather products are beautiful to work with and own, they must conform to a welfare and environmental policy. All products we supply are part of an environmental policy or a bi-product of the food industry. Most of the exotic leathers are controlled by CITES who we work with in each country. No species offered by Kezie is hunted from the wild, rather sourced from either an environmentally sustainable program or through the CITES guidelines

CITES is an international agreement between Governments. Its aim is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten their survival. All products offered on this site can only come to you as part of this policy. This means that the species is either farmed (usually for the meat and the skin is a bi-product) or under a hunting license in order to keep the population under control. This also ensures that the ecosystem is not harmed.
